Happy Easter of Pentecost

Happy Pentecost Passover 23 May 2021

Pentecost - Collection - Prado National Museum

The words of the psalm emerge as imperative 103: "SEND YOUR SPIRIT, MISTER, AND REPUE THE FACE OF THE EARTH ". It is urgent that the face of this earth be illuminated by the spirit of the Risen One, so that today's man and woman do not walk in darkness in a society that is rapidly losing the light of faith. It is one of the most important solemnities of the Catholic Church ( Acts. 2, 1-11 ). It is the joyous beginning in time and in the history of the Church entrusted in those words to the apostles: "You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church" (Mt.16,13-20). Day of Catholic Action and Secular Apostolate. Day and date of the missionary church to announce to the world that JESUS CHRIST LIVES: "Go all over the world and proclaim the Gospel" ( Mc.16,15-20 ).

Every year we feel overwhelmed with a new reality by the joy of Pentecost, whose notes are clear and you have to stick to them, to be faithful to the new grace: prayer, fraternity, Eucharist and Mary. When these notes are given in our people and in our communities, then the action of the Holy Spirit will begin to be put into practice. It is the audacity of faith in Christ present that drives us. This audacity turns into hope in the face of difficulties and fears and into charity through the occasions of giving to others., forgetting himself.

"Burned" still by the fire of the Holy Spirit, we hear the cry of Paul of Tarsus: "Do not quench the Spirit" (1Your. 5,19). Because even today it is true, the conviction of the first Christians: "Where is the Spirit of the Lord, there is freedom " (2.Color 3,17 ). In today's time, frightened and threatened by fear of pandemics, the dance and bewilderment of vaccines, the lack of credibility of politicians with their ruthless attack in most cases, against freedoms, the dignity of life in all its fields, the "new" moral, the family, teaching, the gender law ... wanting to implant a communist air that clouds this Spain, this Europe and this globalized world, they have us anesthetized and controlled in every way. You cannot be truly free and fight for inner freedom, without cultivating and enriching the life of the spirit, in silence, in the encounter with oneself, reflection and openness to God. We become more believing and more human when we open ourselves to the action of the Spirit, that puts us in harmony with ourselves and leads us to live in truth and charity, and opens us to joyful communication with God. May the Holy Spirit awaken our weak faith, small and hesitant, trying to make Christ occupy the center of our heart, of our churches and what, nothing or no one supplants or obscures it, nor can it confine. May the Holy Spirit open our ears to hear the calls of the men and women of today, the questions, hardship, conflicts and contradictions of the present moment. May the Holy Spirit purify the heart of your church, of our church, so that acknowledging their mistakes without obsessing, let yourself be purified by the light and fire of the Spirit. May this same Spirit give us the strength that springs from love to look at life with realism and love, the world and, above all, people. Look at the moment, threatened with difficulties but full of so many hopes for us to look at him with God's eyes. May this Spirit urge us to make of ourselves and with us a missionary Church, with compassionate heart and contagious hope.

Perhaps the greatest tragedy is our increasing inability for prayer., "Distracted by so much doing", and forgetting the only source of making effective the action of the Holy Spirit in us: PRAYER from SILENCE. In this time of such distress, daze, apathy, fears and bewilderment, the journey of new men and women is urgent, that they be faithful to the GRACE received and firm in the words of Jesus: "Let not your heart tremble or be cowed"( Jn.14, 27-31 ). And for these witnesses to be given, They have to give the characteristics of the first Pentecost: "The apostles in prayer and with Mary, the mother of Jesus " (Acts. 2, 1-11).

Our communities should be in each celebration a small Pentecost, where we left transformed, brave and courageous, capable of filling this world so empty of God with the Risen CHRIST. May we go out to the "squares" of our lives to testify by word and deed that Jesus Christ lives. God does not give away the story prefabricated, but man builds it with the grace of God. New paths open in this time of unprecedented crisis, marked by the pandemic and what is to come, that generates religious disorder, political, social and human to firm evangelization, joyous, bold and brave the man and woman of today. And the opening of these roads needs new Christians, hardened hope, in optimism and in boldness. This is no time for regrets, longings and fears. This moment of the 21st century calls us to a personal renewal by the Spirit to be signs of the crucified and risen Christ. Let the Holy Spirit open the doors of our Upper Room, to transform our world from the spiritual intoxication that the first inhabitants of the Upper Room had.

Mary, Mother, prompts us to say a persevering YES to the Holy Spirit to proclaim that "JESUS CHRIST IS OUR HOPE" ( Col. 1-27 ), ( Acts. 1,14 ). May the sequence of Pentecost be the prayer and meditation of this celebration!!:

1.Come Divine Spirit send your light from heaven, Loving father of the poor; gift in your splendid gifts; light that penetrates the souls; source of greatest comfort.

2.Come sweet guest of the soul, rest from our effort, truce in hard work, breeze in the hours of fire, joy that wipes tears and comforts in duels.

3.Enter to the bottom of the soul, divine light and enrich us. Look at the emptiness of man if you lack him inside; See the power of sin when you don't send your breath.

4.Water the land in drought, Heal the sick heart, wash the stains, breathes warmth of life into ice, tame the indomitable spirit, Guide the one who twists the path.

5.Distribute your Seven Gifts according to the faith of your servants. For your goodness and your grace give the effort its merit; save the one who seeks to save himself and give us your eternal joy.
